When do new classes start?

New beginner classes in both belly dance and hula are always starting, year round. To see when classes are currently scheduled, check the calendar. If none of the current classes work with your schedule, contact Maiato discuss possible alternatives.

Where is the dance school?

Maia Solana's Dance school is located in Salem, New Hampshire, USA. For a complete address and detailed directions please contact Maia.

Do students have to perform?

No! While we encourage dancers to join the student recitals and other shows throughout the year none of them are mandatory. Students may pick and choose which shows to attend and may even choose to never perform outside of the classroom.

How much does it cost to take a class?

Both belly dance and hula classes have the same cost structure.

  • Prices for a 1 hour class are:
    • Private class: $30
    • Semi-Private: $20
    • Regular Class:
      • $13 for 1 class a week
      • $20 for 2 classes a week
      • $45 for one month of 1 class per week
  • Children 12 and Under: $10 per class, $40 for the month

Did I see you or one of your students dancing at...?

Did you see someone dancing recently and wonder if they learned here or if they were dancing privately with Maia's permission?

While you may have seen some of our students dancing or teaching outside of our usual venues please note that unless specifically stated as such they are not affiliated with Maia's Dance School during such appearances. Students are encouraged to love dancing and even to share it. However, only events sanctioned by Maia personally are to be considered as linked to Maia's Dance School or Maia/Peweli.

While choreographies learned at Maia's Dance School remain the property of Maia/Peweli any student is welcome to perform their own dance choreographies using moves learned while a student of Maia's Dance School.
